HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club hosted and won the annual Hammerton Cup.
Two teams took part, consisting in total of 44 players - 22 from the golf club and 22 from the local Caravan Society.
The game saw 11 pairs from either side go head to head, with local rivalry at its highest.
This ensured a highly-competitive atmosphere throughout.
Harwich eased through with a stunning win of six and half points to four and half, therefore winning the Hammerton Cup for 2016.
The individual prize for top scorer of the day went to Paul Sims, with an overall points tally of 40.
Two nearest the pin prizes were won by Nick Rate (10th hole) and Eric Bushell (16th hole).
The putting competition was also won by Sims.
