CHASE Lane Primary School took six children to compete in the level three county Quicksticks hockey finals in Chelmsford.
This is the highest level the school has ever competed in hockey and the children won seven of their eight games.
They achieved fourth place overall out of the 16 teams in Essex.
The six pupils were Abi Broom, George Broom, Jack Lines, Joshua Annett, Michael Nixon and Jake Stokes and they were joined by teacher Jamie Baxter and coach Rob Southgate.
They did not look out of place and showed fantastic teamwork and skill in a highly-competitive competition.
The school were able to compete in this tournament after winning the Harwich and Dovercourt event.
A number of the children are considering taking part in hockey outside of school.
