THERE were big wins for the Harwich Men’s League’s leading two teams, Ind Coope A and Hanover A.
Hanover won all their games at the Golf Club, while Ind Coope triumphed 8-1 at the United Services club.
The only winner for the Services was Steve Heath, while Kevin Edwards, for the Coope, scored a 180.
Third-placed Trafalgar beat Hanover B 7-2.
Shaun Fox, for the Traf, scored two 180s and a 14-dart leg.
His total for the season is now eight 180s, while Alan Scurrell (Traf) also scored a 180.
Little Oakley A beat Cricket Club 8-1.
The only winner for the Cricket Club, and scoring a 180, was Martin Heath.
His total number of 180s is eight – the same as Shaun Fox.
The Maybush beat Ind Coope B 6-3 on their own patch, with Ciaren Swaine scoring his fourth 180 of the season and, for the second week running, captain George Lord having a 116 shot-out.
The Ships, in the B division, beat Shakers 7-2 and now lead the way.
Dan Tyrrell (Ships) had a 180 and Shakers’ Lee Knight a 180.
R/A Club beat win-less Little Oakley B 6-3. After a run of defeats, Luney Club won 7-2 at the Shrimpers.
Cherry Tree’s Martin Steward won the last game to secure a 5-4 win over the Globe.
Royal Oak moved up into second place after their 7-2 home win over Flag.
Oak trail Ships by four points with a game in hand, while Rangers, who had byes, are five points behind the Ships.
