PROUD Harwich and Dovercourt Rugby Club coach Shane Manning hailed his side’s “awesome” achievement after watching them lift the Suffolk Plate.
The Low Road side travelled to Haverhill on Saturday and returned with the silverware after winning 28-3.
Harwich, also in great form in Eastern Counties League division two south, last won the Plate in 2012.
And Manning said: “It was a great game and the boys played very well.
“To win with such a young side – we had three players over 30 but the rest were under 25 – was just awesome.”
