HARWICH and Dovercourt Rugby Club coach Shane Manning has praised the ability and dependability of his home-grown squad.
The Low Road side are flying high in second spot in Eastern Counties League division two south, following last week’s 24-7 success against neighbours Mistley.
Manning felt the result and performance was an excellent advert for the work going on at Harwich.
“Saturday’s game said a lot about our club,” he said.
“We made seven changes from the previous match and still produced an excellent performance.
“All our players are local lads, with no imports.
“It shows that if you stick with home-grown players they will always be there for the club and that you can depend on them."
