Three people have been charged - including two from Meldreth and Melbourn - following an investigation into a spate of burglaries in Tendring.

Essex Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) launched enquiries into a number of home and business burglaries committed between January and April this year.

This includes the theft of an ATM from a shop at Harwich Gateway Retail Park on April 8.

Deividas Fiodorovas, 35, of Howard Road, Meldreth, has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

Marvin Usher, 32, of London Road, Melbourn, has also been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and possessing an offensive weapon.

The third person was Shane Hadderton, 35, of Glenway Close, Maldon, who was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B.

Hadderton appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 7 where he was remanded in custody until a further hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, June 3.

Fiodorovas and Usher appeared at the same magistrates' court on Wednesday, May 8, where they were both remanded in custody. No plea has been entered at this stage.

They will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for a hearing on Wednesday, June 5.
