THE opening times of a myriad of attractions which are expected to draw in visitors across the Easter weekend have been revealed.

The Harwich Society will be opening up its popular visitor attractions during the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

Christopher Jones’ house will be open on Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday from 11am to 3pm with free admission.

The Ha’penny Pier Visitor Centre will also be open on all four days from 10am to 4.30pm with free admission.

The Redoubt Fort will be open on Saturday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday from 10am to 4pm with a £5 cost for adults but  free admission for accompanying children.

The Lifeboat Museum will be open on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday from 11am until 3pm with free admission for children and a £1 cost for adults.

The Maritime Museum, meanwhile, will be open on all four days from 10am until 4pm, also for £1 for adults but with free admission for accompanying children.

Neither the High Lighthouse nor the Radar Tower will be open over Easter but the free Bobbit’s Hole Nature Reserve - which opens every Sunday between 10am and noon – will be available. 

The Harwich Society chairman Colin Farnell, said: “Our fantastic team of volunteers have been busy over the winter months to ensure that all of our visitor attractions will be ready for the 2024 season."
