A WEALTH of attractions around historic Harwich are set to open this weekend for the summer season.

Work has been going on to prepare the Harwich Society’s visitor attractions for the public over the past few months.

The list of places to visit includes the Redoubt Fort, the Lifeboat Museum, Bobbit’s Hole Nature Reserve and the High Lighthouse.

Colin Farnell, Harwich Society chairman, said: “The Harwich Society is very proud of the fact that it is able to open so many local visitor attractions throughout the summer and the volunteers who staff them enjoy promoting our town.

“It’s a time of the year we all look forward to.

“As Harwich Society membership includes unlimited free entrance to all of our visitor attractions, this is a great time to take out a £15 family membership .”
