PLANS for a long-awaited roundabout at a notorious accident blackspot will be unveiled later this month.
Outline designs for a two-lane roundabout at the Hare Green junction of Harwich Road and the A120 by the Highways Agency will go on display at a public consultation on Wednesday August 19.
Other safety measures including closing the gaps in the central reserve and new crossings are also in the pipeline.
There have been at least 18 serious accidents since 2011, including the most recent fatal smash which killed Harwich stalwart Ken Salmon in September last year when his car was hit by a lorry.
The exhibition will be held at Great Bromley Village Hall on Parsons Hill between 2pm and 8pm.
