AN ADVICE charity for teenagers has been given a £2,000 windfall.
Councillor Valerie Guglielmi chose to support the charity Harwich Teentalk during her year as chairman of Tendring Council.
At a special civic service at Great Bentley Church, Mrs Guglielmi was presented with an album of memories from her year, presented by chief executive Ian Davidson.
Some of the highlights included presenting the winner of a stage of the first ever Women’s Cycle Tour and attending a Royal Garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Mrs Guglielmi, parish and Tendring councillor for Lawford, said it had been an honour and a privilege to serve as chairman.
Teentalk is hoping to use the cash to kit out it's new community room.
The new chairman of Tendring Council for 2015/16 is Fred Nicholls, and the vice-chairman is Jayne Chapman.
