A WIDOW has called for waist-high grass in a churchyard to be cut.
Phyllis Potter, 79, of Dovercourt, said the grass and weeds at the town’s All Saints’ Church were “out of control”.
Her two sons, husband and parents are buried in the churchyard.
“The grass is higher than my waist,” she said.
“The council has only got money to cut it two or three times a year. It is terrible.”
Nigel Brown, Tendring Council’s communications manager, apologised to Mrs Potter.Ateam of three men returned to the site to continue work on Wednesday.
Mr Brown added: “We are sorry that we are behind schedule at this particular site, but the matter is in hand.”
