VILLAGERS have hit out after rubbish was dumped at a recreation ground despite pleas for people to stop flytipping.

The latest incident saw wood with nails sticking out and carpet abandoned at Ramsey War Memorial Hall in the early hours of Friday morning.

It was discovered by a dog walker at 6.30am who reported it to Ramsey War Memorial Hall Committee.

Suzanne Howe, committee secretary, said: “This is not the first incident but it had been quiet for a while.

“Our main concern with it was it was a lot of bits of wood with nails all sticking up."
